Know Before You Open the Door.
"It all starts with identity," said Eric Stegemann, CEO of Solid Earth. "The concept behind it is one record per human with a real estate license or any staff that's associated with it."
Real estate has spent decades building sophisticated systems for identifying properties, listings, transactions and membership records. But the identity of the human being operating across those systems remains fragmented among state licensing databases, MLSs, associations, brokerages and technology platforms.
Solid Earth believes that needs to change.
RealtyID™ is designed around a deceptively simple principle: one record per human.
Rather than treating every license, MLS membership or association record as a separate identity, RealtyID™ is built to connect those records to the actual person behind them, including professionals operating across multiple states, brokerages and organizations.

For roughly two decades, mortgage originators have operated around the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System, or NMLS, where an individual can maintain an identifier as they operate across state lines.
Real estate has never had a comparable identity layer operating broadly across the industry.
"If you originate mortgages in one place and you want to originate mortgages in the next state over, it's one ID, one record that crosses that state border," Stegemann said. "And yet the real estate industry really does not have that."
RealtyID™ is built to address that gap.
Its identity model can help identify when professionals licensed in different states are the same individual, associate professionals with MLS and association memberships, connect brokerage affiliations and create what Solid Earth describes as a single unique record around the human rather than the individual license.
Whether someone is a REALTOR®, a non-member licensee, an assistant, a broker, or a professional operating across multiple state lines, the goal is to establish the identity first, then connect the systems and credentials surrounding it.
"If you touch the real estate industry in any way, you get issued a RealtyID™," Stegemann said. "Then that Realty ID can cross your state borders."
From Identity Record to Identity Infrastructure
Solid Earth developed RealtyID™ as an enterprise Identity Provider, or IDP, capable of becoming the authentication layer connecting real estate professionals to the applications they use every day. The platform is being designed around modern authentication standards, including AAL2-level authentication and passkey-based experiences such as face and fingerprint authentication.
The long-term user experience is intentionally familiar.
"Instead of having thirty-eight passwords and usernames for everything you do, you just log in with your RealtyID™ button, think of it as a Google-like login into the system" Stegemann said.
For the practicing professional, that can mean fewer passwords and a more consistent way to access real estate applications from desktop or mobile. For MLSs, associations and brokerages, the opportunity presents a centralized identity layer capable of connecting authentication, credential status, organizational affiliation and access management.
And because authentication activity occurs through that common identity layer, RealtyID™ can also create a foundation for understanding how professionals actually interact with the technology ecosystem around them, which includes product adoption, crossover usage and engagement across integrated applications.
Licensing Data Becomes an Active Signal
Instead of treating a license record as a static piece of data entered during onboarding, RealtyID™ is designed to continually connect identity with licensing status across jurisdictions.
That creates the possibility of identifying changes to a professional's licensing status and giving MLSs, associations, brokerages and other authorized organizations better information when determining access.
RealtyID™ does not replace regulators, compliance teams or the organizations responsible for making those decisions. It does, however, give a clearer picture of the person standing in front of them.
That distinction is the foundation of Solid Earth's launch campaign.
"Welcome to Real Estate"
Launching alongside the technology is "Welcome to Real Estate," an integrated video and media campaign that turns an abstract identity problem into something nearly everyone understands: getting through the door.
The campaign imagines real estate as a nightclub in "Everywhere, America." Agents, brokers, managing brokers, brokerage leaders and other professionals form the General Admission line. Buyers and sellers enter through VIP.
Standing at the entrance is a nightclub bouncer representing RealtyID™.
His job is not to regulate real estate.
His job is to know who is standing at the door.
Across a hero film and a series of short-form videos, professionals approach the bouncer with increasingly complicated identity scenarios.
One has an active license and matching brokerage affiliation.
Another presents a license whose status has changed.
Three different professionals arrive with the same name.
A multistate professional has records in Colorado and Florida that need to be connected to the same person.
Another record surfaces information that requires additional review.
In one scene, the bouncer reaches for his radio:
"I need a multistate license check."
In another:
"Compliance verification at the front door."
The campaign intentionally positions RealtyID™ as the identity layer, not the decision-maker.
Its job is to connect the information and surface the signal.
The people responsible for access make the decision.
