In the quiet neighborhood of East Vancouver, an unthinkable act of violence occurred during the midnight hours of Sunday. The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) swiftly responded to reports of a shooting in the area of East 28th Avenue and Victoria Drive. Upon arriving at the scene, they discovered two men who had been injured by gunfire.

It was during this chaos that Khaled Baoween, an ordinary citizen who happened to be in the vicinity, stepped up and displayed extraordinary bravery. Realizing the imminent danger and the urgency of the situation, Baoween fearlessly intervened, potentially saving countless lives. Without hesitation, he confronted the shooter, diverting their attention away from innocent bystanders and redirecting it towards himself.

As the shooter turned their attention towards Baoween, he was struck by two bullets in his chest. In a truly remarkable act, Baoween managed to protect innocent civilians, even at the risk of his own life. Khaled Baoween is still alive as been reported from the hospital.
