New York City, New York Nov 8, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - A board-certified interventional radiologist, Dr. Nevitt is the Managing Partner of the North Bay Division of California Advanced Imaging Medical Associates (CAIMA), tending to patients at MarinHealth Medical Center, Sonoma Valley Hospital, MarinHealth Breast Care Center, Novato Community Hospital, MarinHealth Outpatient MRI, and Marin Outpatient Imaging Center.
Throughout his career, he has performed over 20,000 interventional procedures over 14 years of practice. He enjoys all aspects of interventional radiology, focusing on the treatment of peripheral vascular disease, dialysis access maintenance, vascular access, and stroke treatment. He is also a pioneer in the minimally invasive treatment of uterine fibroids and performed the first uterine fibroid embolization on the San Mateo Peninsula.
In regards to his educational background, Dr. Nevitt graduated AOA from Rush Medical College in Chicago before completing his residency in diagnostic radiology at the Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. He served as Chief Resident and authored several medical papers and articles. Later, he completed his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at UCSF.
With an unwavering commitment to his specialty, the doctor is board-certified in diagnostic radiology and interventional radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.
Before joining the North Bay Division, Dr. Nevitt practiced at Seton Medical Center, where he served as the Director of Interventional Radiology and subsequently Chief of Radiology. At MarinHealth Medical Center, he formed a team that performed the first Y 90 radioembolization procedure for the treatment of malignant liver tumors. The program has grown and is one of the most active private practices in Northern California.
